What Our Kids Thought - Part II

Another way our kids expressed their enthusiam about the adoption was wanting to learn more about Ethiopian culture and language right away.  We checked out some books from the library, including an Amharic dictionary.

When I went to kiss KJ goodnight the day we got this book, she showed me her notebook of how she was practicing words that might be important to learn - 'Brother'.  'Mother'.  'Sister'. . . .

My heart was especially blessed, though, when she pointed to some of the words she copied and said, "Mom, I copied 'love', 'I' and 'you'....so I can tell them (her new brother or sister), 'I love you'".
